Six Guns Volume 2

Sara V. Zook

In this second in the series book by Sara Zook, we take a deeper look in to the life of Nicky Cain, former errand boy turned Mob boss after his father is murdered. Nicky is super surprised to learn that Carmine was his father and just choose to stay away following the wishes of Nicky's mother.

The deeper we dive into Nicky's world, the more we learn we don't know much about him and his girlfriend, Lilah. Taking over the mob from his father is tough. He has to be ruthless to show he can do the job, while hiding his true identity from Lilah. When one of "the triplets" is shot in a drop gone wrong, Lilah comes to grips with exactly who Nicky Cain is.

I love this series. It has everything you want in a book - suspense, angst, love, some sex and of course, an amazing plot. Following her first volume, you get twists and turns you don't see coming and an ending that has you wanting to know more. Excellent storytelling and plot have you reading this book in one sitting.

I can't wait to see what Sara does in volume 3.
I was given an ARC by the author for an honest review.
