Take by Ella Frank
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
To be honest here – Try by Ella Frank was my first standalone in the m/m genre. I was hooked from page one. So to say I was patiently awaiting the next installment of Logan and Tate would be a total lie. I waiting, not so patiently and got up in the middle of the night to purchase this as soon as it went live. I was not disappointed.
This book is written so eloquently and touched on very real life experiences by both Tate and Logan. I found myself extremely emotional at some points in the story, so much so I had to put it down and walk away. Anger, tears, laughter – all of these are things that I felt as I read.
Almost like a standby character, because of her writing style, I felt the heat of the passion and feelings Tate and Logan carry for each other. Both are alpha males that have so much emotion for each other it overshadows the bad things that happened in the past. Opening up is equally difficult for each of them. When they finally do – it’s explosive, panty melting hot, emotional and raw.
Coming to terms with the demons they experienced in their past relationships, they depend on each other to be strong when they need it. Overcoming what happens to Tate almost tears them apart, but they prevail, making their relationship stronger. Bringing them closer than ever and fulfilling what each of them needs – unconditional love.
Not a cliffhanger, but a set-up for the 3rd book in this series, Ella ends on a great note. I cannot wait to see what she has in store for Tate, Logan and the whole crew. Characters you will fall in love with and want to have in your life.
I give this book 5 stars.
