Decker's Wood by Kirsty Dallas - My Review

Decker's WoodDecker's Wood by Kirsty Dallas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I purchased this book back when it went live, June 6, 2014. I was intrigued by the title and cover but really didn't read the synopsis. It sat on my device until this past weekend July 25. Road trips with the family always make me want to find something that’s refreshing to read. I saw this, read the blurb and decided that it was want I needed.

All I can ask myself is, why? Why did I wait so long to read this book? It was amazing, refreshing and so sweet. With all the “dark” romances out there, this book was a spring shower for me. Cleaning my soul and giving me laugh out loud moments throughout the book.

The premise of the books is simple, straightforward and undoubtedly compelling.

Decker, a renowned porn star has a problem. Andi, the cousin of his best friend comes to NYC to start a new life. She’s a ray of sunshine, his rainbow. Around her his life is brighter and guess what? Problem solved!

Captivating me by her exceptional writing, Ms. Dallas keeps you reading until the wee hours of the morning. Laugh out loud moments and even a few tears; have me looking forward to more from her. The main characters are strong and the sub characters really make the story so much deeper than the surface. I am self proclaimed Team Decker.

I leave you with some of my favorite quotes.

“Oh s---, I was half naked, laying on a bed, in front of my hot friend, WHO IS A F______ PORN STAR! “You don’t even have a mustache,” was my first observation”

“I gave him my best ‘the f---? look”

“What’s not to be scared of? They have eight legs! Who the hell needs eight legs? That’s not right, it’s abnormal”

Andi chuckled. “My cousin Mr. Chivalry and the porn star. It sounds like a movie title.”
I give this book 5 stars
